And Still He Loves Me

 

How can You love me Lord?

Though I try to avoid sin I fail.

I want to escape the temptations of the foe,

but in my weakness I succumb.

 

My life is a battle Lord.

A battle I cannot win alone.

You have already won the war.

 Help me in my struggles.

 

Too often I serve self rather than You.

In my selfishness I sin against You.

I long for strength, but still I am weak.

I need Your help to resist sin.

 

And still You love me.

You comfort me in my sorrow.

You lead me in Your way even though I stray.

In love and mercy you forgive me.

 

In Your love there is peace.

In Your love there is strength.
